On 28 November 2025, the Court hosted a meeting between Government Agents and Registrars to further strengthen dialogue and cooperation.

In his opening remarks, the President of the Court, Mattias Guyomar, emphasised the importance of the Government Agents’ active involvement at every stage of the proceedings before the Court, noting that this was crucial for the effective operation of the Convention system as a key instrument of European public order.

The Registrar of the Court, Marialena Tsirli, delivered opening remarks, noting that in carrying out its tasks, the Court has always relied on its stakeholders. “Government Agents, in particular, are vital partners, providing an essential link to the member States,” said the Registrar, who also highlighted the role of agents in the Court’s functioning.

Following the opening remarks by President Guyomar, Registrar Tsirli, and Isabelle Niedlispacher, the Government Agent of Belgium, the participants discussed a range of topics.
