On 20 May 2026, the Vice President of the Court and judge elected in respect of Norway, Arnfinn Bårdsen, accompanied by the judge elected in respect of Monaco, Sébastien Biancheri, and the Registrar of the Court, Marialena Tsirli, attended the flag raising ceremony marking the transfer of the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to Monaco, held at the Organisation’s headquarters.

The Vice President also attended the inauguration of a tram decorated in the colours of Monaco at the “Droits de l’homme” tram station, as well as a second flag raising ceremony at Strasbourg’s Place Broglie.
