On 4 November 2025, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, visited the Court, where he was received by the President of the Court, Mattias Guyomar. The judge elected in respect of Ukraine, Mykola Gnatovskyy, and the Deputy Registrar of the Court, Abel Campos, also attended the meeting.

To date, the Court is the only international judicial body before which alleged violations of the European Convention committed in Ukraine up until 2022 — including the downing of flight MH17 and the abduction of children — can be examined.
