10/04/26
On 10 April, the Court hosted the award ceremony for the 2026 Marcel Rudloff Tolerance Prize, organised by the association “Les Amis de Marcel Rudloff”. In his welcome address, the President of the Court, Mattias Guyomar, congratulated the association Ballade for winning this year’s prize. This association promotes a vision based on living together and inclusion by offering workshops in traditional and contemporary music, accessible to everyone.
The first recipient of the Prize, on 27 March 1998, was the Danish jurist Carl Aage Nørgaard, a member of the European Commission of Human Rights since 1973 and its President from 1981 to 1995. Jean Paul Costa, former President of the Court, also received the Marcel Rudloff Tolerance Prize in 2014.
