On 20 April 2026, the judge elected in respect of Spain, María Elósegui, along with Sergiy Vlasenko, Chairperson of the Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights, and Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, opened the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the European Convention on Human Rights at the Palais de l’Europe in Strasbourg, organised by the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

This Court-led exhibition presents several landmark judgments in an open and accessible way, while also demonstrating the positive impact of the Convention on the lives of ordinary people across Europe who have turned to the Court to protect their rights.

“In this sense, the exhibition illustrates exactly what President Guyomar has highlighted so often – that the Court is A Court for All!,” said judge Elósegui.

The exhibition is also available for viewing online.
