On 22 October, Federal Councillor Beat Jans, Head of Switzerland’s Federal Department of Justice and Police, visited the Court. He was received by Kateřina Šimáčková, Judge elected in respect of the Czech Republic and Section President. The meeting was also attended by Andreas Zünd, Judge elected in respect of Switzerland and by Deputy Registrar Abel Campos. The interlocutors discussed the importance of the Court and the Convention system also highlighting the 75^th anniversary of the Convention this year and 50 years since Switzerland’s accession to the Convention last year.
