Handbook on European law relating to asylum, borders and immigration
The Court, the Council of Europe, and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), published an updated handbook on European law relating to asylum, borders and immigration.
The handbook reflects key legal developments since the 2020 edition and provides clear, accessible guidance on EU law and the European Convention on Human Rights, alongside other Council of Europe standards. Taking into account major changes across the European legal landscape since 2020, the handbook incorporates important case-law from the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the EU.
It is intended for lawyers, judges, prosecutors, border guards, immigration officials and others working with national authorities, and for national human rights institutions, non-governmental organisations and other bodies.
