On 29 April 2026, a delegation of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), led by its President Hon Mr Winston Anderson, paid an official visit to the Court, where it was received by Vice-President and judge elected in respect of Norway, Arnfinn Bårdsen, Hugh Mercer, judge elected in respect of the United Kingdom, and Victor Soloveytchik, Section Registrar. The Vice-President emphasised the importance of judges standing united and supporting each other in the face of pressures on judicial independence. He presented the Court’s achievements in reducing its backlog of pending cases, and provided examples of its cooperation with other international, regional and domestic superior courts, including members and observers in the Superior Courts’ Network.
