On 5 December 2025, Thierry Wickers, President of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and Roman Završek, Vice-President, paid a courtesy visit to the Court, where they were received by the President of the Court, Mattias Guyomar, and Anna Adamska-Gallant, judge elected in respect of Poland. The Deputy Registrar, Abel Campos, also attended the meeting. The Court President thanked Mr Wickers for the CCBE’s assistance in organising the recent meeting between the Court and national bar associations, and underscored the essential role that lawyers and bar associations play in the Convention system.
