On 1 October 2025, the President of the Court, Mattias Guyomar, attended a service to mark the opening of the Legal Year, held at Westminster Abbey in London. He was accompanied by Hugh Mercer, Judge elected in respect of the United Kingdom, and Marialena Tsirli, Registrar of the Court.

During the visit to London, the delegation also attended the swearing-in ceremony of Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice and Deputy Prime Minister, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP.

They also held a series of bilateral meetings with the President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, the Right Honourable Lord Reed of Allermuir; with Lord Justice Snowden, Lead Judge for International Relations, and Justice Picken, Lead Judge for Europe, in a joint meeting; and with judges at the Royal Courts of Justice.
