On 24 November 2025, a large delegation of judges from the ECHR visited the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg for the two courts’ regular annual bilateral meeting.

This meeting continues the constructive and regular dialogue between the ECHR and the Court of Justice of the European Union, with a view to promoting a harmonious and complementary application of European legal standards.

On the sidelines of the visit, President Mattias Guyomar and President Koen Lenaerts gave a joint interview on the respective work of each Court.
