New language versions of Knowledge Sharing platform

To mark the launch of the new Romanian-, Turkish- and Ukrainian-language versions of the Court’s Knowledge Sharing (ECHR-KS) platform, a high-level conference was held at the ECHR and online.
Knowledge Sharing is the ECHR’s online platform for sharing case-law knowledge with the public, which is widely used by legal and judicial professionals, academics and journalists. The platform is updated weekly and can enhance understanding of the context of the case-law and how the Court is developing its jurisprudence regarding specific Convention Articles or on particular themes.
Speaking at the conference, President Marko Bošnjak stated that “[ECHR-KS] undoubtedly represents another paradigm shift in facilitating access to Convention case-law and operationalising subsidiarity. With the inauguration of the first three non-official language platforms, the Court tackles language barriers and empowers national actors to protect human rights”.
