In the case of Pleshkov and Others v. Russia the held that there had been a violation of the freedom of assembly and association.

The case concerned restrictions imposed by the authorities on the location of planned public events. The Court found that the national authorities and courts had failed to provide relevant and sufficient reasons to justify the restrictions imposed on the applicants in exercising their right to freedom of assembly.
