The Grand Chamber in inter-State application Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia, concerning eastern Ukraine and the downing of flight MH17, decided to join to that application the inter-State application Ukraine v. Russia (X), concerning Russian military operations in Ukraine since 24 February 2022.

The joined case will be referred to as Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia.
