The Court will be delivering a Grand Chamber ruling in the case of Ukraine v. Russia (re Crimea) on 25 June 2024.

The case concerns Ukraine’s allegations of a pattern of violations of the European Convention on Human Rights by the Russian Federation in Crimea beginning in February 2014. It also concerns allegations of a pattern of persecution of Ukrainians for their political stance and/or pro-Ukrainian activity (“Ukrainian political prisoners”) which occurred predominantly in Crimea but also in other parts of Ukraine or in the Russian Federation.
