Judge Bormann engages with members of the judiciary and students in Greenland

Last week, Anne Louise Bormann, the judge elected in respect of Denmark, visited Greenland, where she had the opportunity to engage with members of the judiciary and students.
On 28 September 2026, Judge Bormann met with judges and prosecutors to discuss aspects of the Court’s case-law relevant to Greenland, including case-law under Article 6 of the Convention concerning absent witnesses, the length of proceedings and impartiality, as well as victims’ rights and child-protection cases.
On 29 September, she addressed students at the University of Greenland, Ilisimatusarfik, where she discussed the history of the Convention and the meaning of the living instrument doctrine.
