Judges participate in meeting of German-speaking constitutional courts in Liechtenstein

Andreas Zünd, judge elected in respect of Switzerland, Stéphane Pisani, judge elected in respect of Luxembourg, Alain Chablais, judge elected in respect of Liechtenstein, and András Jakab, judge elected in respect of Austria, participated in the meeting of the German-speaking constitutional courts, the Court of Justice of the European Union, and the European Court of Human Rights, which took place on 13 and 14 September 2026 in Liechtenstein.
The participants took part in a series of working sessions on The Role of the Constitutional Court in Safeguarding Elections and Direct Democracy, for which Judge Jakab delivered an introductory presentation, as well as on Current Developments in European Data Protection in the Information Society and Protection of Freedom of Expression and the Right to Privacy.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for informal professional exchanges on legal issues currently facing German-speaking jurisdictions.
