The Court held its annual press conference on Thursday 27 January 2011. On this occasion, Jean-Paul Costa, the President of the Court, presented a summary of the Court’s activities and its statistics for 2010 and gave an overview of the reforms that have been implemented since the Interlaken conference in 2010. During the press conference, President Costa made public the first joint declaration of the Presidents of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning the European Union's forthcoming accession to the European Convention on Human Rights.
