“The Conscience of Europe”
“The Conscience of Europe” is a film intended for the general public. It describes the European Court of Human Rights and its working practices and activities.
The documentary lasts about 15 minutes and may thus be watched in the context of school curricula, for example as part of civics lessons, or by anyone who wishes to know more about the Court, which has monitored compliance with human-rights standards in Europe for the past 50 years.
In particular, the film presents specific examples of cases examined by the Court and considers its future prospects and the challenges facing it.
