Note on the composition of the Court’s Reports of Judgments and Decisions
The Court has recently revised its policy regarding publication of the Reports of Judgments and Decisions with a view to concentrating on only a core of the most important judgments and decisions.
To this end, a new selection of judgments and decisions has been made by the Court’s Jurisconsult [1] for the period 2007-10. This selection, which has been approved by the Bureau [2], replaces that initially made by the Publications Committee. The revised list of selected cases for these years can be consulted here. The selection for 2011 can be consulted here. Details of all future selections will be communicated when they become available.
The lists published on the Court’s website, notably the alphabetical, chronological and case-law references lists, are being amended accordingly.
The composition of the Reports for the years 1999 to 2006 inclusive remains unchanged.
[1] The Jurisconsult is responsible for case-law monitoring and plays a key role in preventing case-law conflicts.
[2] The Bureau is composed of the President and Vice-Presidents of the Court and the Section Presidents.
